The reigning queen of popcorn thrillers does it again! Although I didn’t enjoy this one as much as some of her other books, it was still a solid three-star read for me.
ARC Review: Where You End by Abbott Kahler – Mystery/Thriller
I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a dark, character-driven thriller. If you’ve enjoyed books from Mona Awad, Rachel Harrison, or Ashley Winstead, I think you’ll also really like this one.
The Guest by B.A. Paris
Wow, this was a suspenseful ride. It’s very true to Paris’s writing and storytelling. It was an exciting, creepy, fast read that we’ve all come to expect from this author and definitely worth the read.
Twenty-Seven Minutes by Ashley Tate
This is an author to watch for! This is going to be the biggest and best new thriller writer of 2024. I’ve truly never read anything quite like this before! Which is such an accomplishment in this genre that seems to rewash tropes. It’s a profound and emotional story that you won’t want to miss. I cannot recommend it highly enough – you have to read it!
ARC Review: No One Can Know by Kate Alice Marshall – Mystery/Thriller
Highly recommend! I think this is definitely going to be a top popular thriller of the year. I couldn’t put this one down. It’s my favorite book by her so far. She has cemented her place as an auto-buy author for me.
ARC Review: Only If You’re Lucky by Stacy Willingham – Mystery/Thriller
Well… it wasn’t great. I’m severely disappointed. This was definitely a flop. Not sure what happened with this one but I’m really sad about it.
ARC Review: Do Not Open by Kiersten Modglin – Mystery/Thriller
Loved this! It is very intense and harrowing 😨 and I was hooked on every word. I read it in two days because I couldn’t stop.
The Heiress by Rachel Hawkins
Rachel Hawkins can do no wrong! I devour everything she writes and it just gets better and better every time. I loved this book so much. Highly recommend!
Somewhere in the Deep by Tanvi Berwah
If you are looking for something that is light and predictably entertaining, this is a good choice. I enjoyed the story and do recommend it to lovers of this genre if you’re looking for an easy read that is fun and satisfying, even if not necessarily mind-blowingly memorable.
Hemlock by Kiersten Modglin
I devoured this book in two days. I just couldn’t get enough of it and I was so invested in everything. After reading this one, I immediately went to find more books by this author.
The Weekend Retreat by Tara Laskowski
It was okay and I’d still recommend it to readers who just really like this type of thriller. But I was not particularly blown away nor excited by it.
What Waits in the Woods by Terri Parlato
I devoured this book! I read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Terri Parlato is fast becoming a new favorite thriller author of mine.
