Ominous, devastating, and my favorite book by this author yet: The Only Survivors by Megan Miranda
I’m still reeling from it all. Ten out of ten, all five stars, my favorite book by her to date, this one is perfection, a masterpiece, and narrative crafting genius. The characters!!! The plot!!! Yall… I so needed this book right now.
Sarah Penner is back and better than ever with The London Séance Society!
If you love the possibility that the supernatural is real, an unlikely Victorian-era female heroine, and a complex murder-mystery plot, then this is the book for you.
An Emotional, All-Consuming, Character-Driven Story: The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth
This book wholly deserves all five stars! I can’t wait to hear everyone else’s thoughts. I feel like this is going to be a story that everyone will be talking about. It’s an exciting ride that will absorb you and leave you hanging onto every word.
Gothic, Historical Mystery at It’s Finest: The Secrets of Hartwood Hall by Katie Lumsden
This is a wonderful debut! This is a gothic, historical mystery at its finest. I’m so excited for this author, and to be a part of the early review crew. I hope she will bless us with another masterpiece like this one. Everyone is going to love this book!
It’s a fumbling, messy, mayhem of idiots and I kind of liked it anyways. (Review of The Island by Natasha Preston)
Reading this is like watching a bunch of bumbling idiots running around like headless chickens. Why were the adults in this story the most dumb, useless, incompetent, clueless, idiots ever? No idea. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, that it would come out as a ‘hahaha it’s all a joke’, but it wasn’t. It actually wasn’t a joke. However, if you like a non-stop action, fast-paced, close-quarters, who-dunnit, mayhem of a thriller, you may also find it as fun and engaging as I somehow did.
Dark, Twisty, Psychological, and I Loved Every Minute of It: What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall
WOW, this book! I loved every minute of reading it and I can’t say enough good things. This story is everything; it deserves all the hype and all the stars. If you like the dark, twisty, psychological thrillers, then you should absolutely read this one!
ARC Review: The Girls Who Disappeared by Claire Douglas
The perfect investigative thriller. The story is full of toxic relationships, dark secrets, and a twisty plot. It is definitely a page turner!
Heartfelt Grief, Creeping Tension, and Sinister Events: All the Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham
This is a dark, emotional story that will surely captivate readers. I think fans of domestic thrillers are going to love this one!
ARC Review: The Villa by Rachel Hawkins
When I say I devoured this book, I mean I read this like I was starving for it. This is a story about loss, betrayal, family, friendship, and twisted, toxic love. It’s a book you will want to read again and again.
Book Review: The Last Party (DC Morgan #1) by Clare Mackintosh
While not one of my favorite mystery/thrillers, it’s still an enjoyable read with a delightful setting. This was my first experience reading from this author, and I do like the writing style in general. I have another book by her I’m reading next so we’ll see how it goes!
ARC Review: The Personal Assistant by Kimberly Belle
I definitely recommend this book to readers of the mystery/thriller genre. I think this will be a popular and well-received release, with its timely and relevant themes and fresh takes within this genre. It’s a solid four stars. I enjoyed my reading experience and I was invested in the outcome. This is an author I would definitely love to read more from.
