It’s heavy, dark, emotional, and slow-burn. It reads like a blend of literary, mystery, and romance. Something about this one really stuck with me after reading it.
ARC Review: The Main Character by Jaclyn Goldis – Mystery/Thriller
This is a very slow-build, character-driven story. There’s generational trauma, family drama, and relationship drama. The story has a heavy emotional undertone and can be quite thought-provoking at times.
ARC Review: One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware – Mystery/Thriller
This was a fun, fast read! The tropical setting, the reality show premise, the cast of characters, the fast-paced plot. The perfect summer, vacation, beach or pool read!
ARC Review: The Blast from the Past (Riley Thorn #3) by Lucy Score – Mystery/Romance
Y’all, I am obsessed with this series! It just keeps getting better and better. It’s absolutely hilarious, and steamy, and exciting. It literally has everything you could want… supernatural, mystery, romance, comedy.
ARC Review: Daughter of Mine by Megan Miranda – Mystery/Thriller
This one has suspense and secrets galore! I loved the ominous tension, small-town atmosphere, and unreliability of all the characters. I was immersed and totally invested in the outcome.
ARC Review: The Corpse in the Closet (Riley Thorn #2) by Lucy Score – Mystery/Romance
Y’all, I am obsessed with this series! It just keeps getting better and better. It’s absolutely hilarious, and steamy, and exciting. It literally has everything you could want… supernatural, mystery, romance, comedy.
ARC Review: A Game of Lies (DC Morgan #2) by Clare Mackintosh – Mystery/Thriller
Like a Survivor show gone wrong, where everyone has secrets, and we have to puzzle the pieces. You’ll be hooked on this twisty, fun, fast-paced read, with a snarky, lovable detective.
The Last Murder at the End of the World by Stuart Turton – Scifi/Thriller
WOW, I loved every minute of this! It’s easily going to be in my top reads of the year, I already know it.

Everything you could want in a thriller – fantastic cast of characters, creepy motel setting, perfectly-paced building suspense.
ARC Review: She’s Not Sorry by Mary Kubica – Mystery/Thriller
This is the type of twisty, edge-of-your-seat uncomfortable, unputdownable read that I love. It will keep you so hooked, you’ll binge it like a Netflix show.
ARC Review: Everyone Is Watching by Heather Gudenkauf – Mystery/Thriller
It’s dark and sinister, with a complex cast of characters. Like a train wreck of disaster that you can’t help watching for the thrilling intrigue of it all.
ARC Review: The Tainted Cup (Shadows of the Leviathan #1) by Robert Jackson Bennett – Fantasy
This is going to be a favorite book of the year (easiest five-star thus far) and quite possibly of all time. Everything was perfection for me.
