This was not at all the story I was expecting from the synopsis. I found myself wanting to skim by the end. It was all just a little underwhelming to me.
ARC Review: Bespelled (Bewitched #2) by Laura Thalassa – Adult Fantasy/Romance
I expected to absolutely love this, and I ended up thinking it was just okay. Regardless, as of right now, I still think this series is worth the read and hopefully will continue to be so. And I still definitely think this series deserves way more hype and attention!

ARC Review: The Hemlock Queen (The Nightshade Crown #2) by Hannah Whitten – Adult Fantasy
I love being in this story world and I feel so connected to all the characters and invested in what’s going to happen next. I can’t wait for the third and final installment of this trilogy! I think it’s going to be a wild, explosive ride to the finish. If you’re debating whether to continue with this series, I definitely recommend it!

ARC Review: Like Mother, Like Daughter by Kimberly McCreight – Mystery/Thriller
I went in thinking this was going to be a typical domestic thriller, and I came out having experienced so much more. I can see this being a very popular release for the year.

I absolutely loved this book! Everything I could have wanted, it was such a fun read. Absolutely deserves all the stars – highly recommend!
ARC Review: Middletide by Sarah Crouch – Mystery/Thriller
It’s heavy, dark, emotional, and slow-burn. It reads like a blend of literary, mystery, and romance. Something about this one really stuck with me after reading it.
ARC Review: The Main Character by Jaclyn Goldis – Mystery/Thriller
This is a very slow-build, character-driven story. There’s generational trauma, family drama, and relationship drama. The story has a heavy emotional undertone and can be quite thought-provoking at times.
ARC Review: The Gathering by C.J. Tudor – Horror
It just wasn’t good for me. I’m usually so gripped and invested in her stories, this was a definite miss for me and I hate that, but I have to be honest. Especially after absolutely loving The Drift, I’m so disappointed.
ARC Review: One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware – Mystery/Thriller
This was a fun, fast read! The tropical setting, the reality show premise, the cast of characters, the fast-paced plot. The perfect summer, vacation, beach or pool read!
