Review:
This. Book. Hit. So. Hard.
It’s one of those stories that after you’re done, you can’t read anything else for a few days because you are still processing the emotional fallout. It broke my heart and put it back together so many times and I enjoyed every moment of it – from tragic loses to steamy passions. The importance of friendships is a dominating theme, as Bryce’s limits are tested to see just how far she is willing to go for her faith in a friend.
“My friends are with me and I am not afraid.”
This book is a whirlwind of emotions, a tantalizing magical realm, and an action-packed winding road to a devastating conclusion. I couldn’t get enough of Bryce and Hunt. I’m still reeling over the fact that my own reality is not nearly as exciting as this one.
“That’s the point of it. Of life. To live, to love, knowing that it might all vanish tomorrow. It makes everything that much more precious.”
House of Earth and Blood is true story-telling at its finest. This book will forever live on my shelves and is a definite re-read in the future. Maas has done it again with another magnificent work of art. I’m so excited for the next in this series!
If you love forbidden slow-burn romance, lore of angels and demons, and a sassy tenacious female protagonist – you will love this book.
